After getting back into my childhood passion of LEGO building, I combined it with my love for nature, and experimented with different bird designs, some of which you will find on this website.
After building a few I posted images of my new creations to social media and was met with an overwhelming response. After submitting three of my birds to the LEGO Ideas website it didn’t take long to gather the 10,000 votes required for LEGO to consider turning my idea into an official set, which they eventually did. This is one of my proudest achievements and I was even more overwhelmed to learn that the set was one of the most popular sets of 2015 and has now sold out.
Please visit LEGO’s website for more information on these.
Since these birds became such a hit I have been inundated with requests for more birds. This has led to some unique projects that I have been asked to work on, such as the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust's first LEGO brick animal trail (I created the Flamingo and the Crane!).
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to know more about me or my new projects, or if you would be interested in commissioning me to build a LEGO centrepiece for your next event.
UPDATE: I am proud to announce that I am the author of a new book! Please take a look at it here. It includes instructions on how to build 15 of my creations and I am very pleased with how it has turned out.
